Gift wrap

Today, I've been stamping brown kraft paper with my dasher stampin' Up! stamp and my lucky limeade stampin' Up! ink pad. Think its great being able to personalise paper to suit my friends and familes personality, saves me money buying loads of different wrap and it adds a personal touch to the gifts. I have done before and after photo of the stamped paper and how it looks gift wrapped. I used whisper white ribbon for finishing touches.

Bookmarks

Made 14 bookmarks for Christmas presents, thanks to my upline loraine for showing me how to make them. They are great as the magnets help the bookmark to stay in place in your book as many a time I've had a envelope, or a strip of card which slips out of my book and I loose my page. They also good for keeping my pages I want to use in my cookery books or my craft projects in my magazines. I can show you how to make them if you want a one to one tutorial. Please contact me if you want to be shown how.

Sadly I can not put the photos up yet as if a family member, my up line or in love with stamping fellow friends, it will spoil the element of surprise.

My daughters first stampin'Up! Creation

So happy to have my kiddies home after a week at their dads, boy I sure missed them. My daughters eyes lit up when she discovered my stash from the starter kit. She loved the pillow box I made so I drew the template and cut it out, she scored it and stamped it. I love how she used the wisteria wonder and the island indigo together for the two step green house garden flowers, the lucky limeade for the stem, great colour combo she came up with. Not bad for a ten year old. It's going in my colour coach swatch. Here is the great pillow box courtesy of my wonderful little lady.

My box

As I wanted to have a little experiment with the card, the stamps, and ink, the paper snip scissors which are just amazing. I made a template which I based on a bigger template, I had to make smaller so it would fit A4. If I had ink for my printer I would of saved time by scaning it and editing it on the computer. Instead I did it the old fashioned way by using a pencil, ruler and a rubber.

I thought the designer papers were great as its so simple to draw a straight line as it has guide to make life simple, which stampin' Up! does.

I used dasher stamp used black ink for the main body and used pool party for the antlers.

I put some designer paper in the base of the box to make it look extra pretty.

My daughter is back tomorrow from her dads so hopefully she will like my hand crafted creation.

Decorating your own style

Was looking for a file were I could put my paperwork to keep it together, I came across a plain Kraft file organiser and thought I could personalize it with my Stampin'Up! stamps. So here is a before and after photo of my organiser.

I used all my ink pads that came in my starter pack. Pumpkin pie, island indigo, old olive, crumb cake, wisteria wonder, pool party, basic black, lucky limeade and calypso coral. I used the wooden mount greenhouse garden set.

My meet with Loraine

What a lovely afternoon I had. Loraine was lovely and so welcoming, made me feel at ease and the nervousness soon died off. Loraine's card samples are fabulous and I can't wait to meet again to learn some new skills. Here is what I made with some guidance.
A lovely card and pillow box. The pumpkin pie ink is a fab colour and made me feel all cheery. I like the neutral colour of biscuit crumb that much it's coming in my starter kit. The greenhouse garden stamp set is divine and that's also going to be in my starter set. I'm sure this will be a well used stamp set once I receive my starter kit. I am a stampin up demonstrator and looking forward to my new adventure.
